Combined heat and power
Combined heat and power is what’s produced when electricity and heat are produced at the same time.
In other words, the heat that’s always produced when electricity is generated is utilised. Combined heat and power is both more energy-efficient and more environmentally friendly than other forms of generations. Does it get any better than this? Well, it could be a fair bit bigger. Only 6 percent of the electricity we use in Sweden comes from combined heat and power, which is less than elsewhere in the EU. The potential is huge!
